Heritage Elementary School Groundbreaking Ceremony Waunakee Community School District breaks ground on a new Heritage Elementary School. A groundbreaking celebration occurred on Thursday, May 18, 2023, to celebrate the beginning of construction on the new 152,000 square foot (sf) state-of-the-art school building at 6271 Woodland Dr, Waunakee. Attendees included members of the Board of Education, local officials, community leaders, design and construction partners, as well as faculty, staff, and students from Heritage Elementary School. Summer School 2024 Waunakee Community School District offers many exciting, challenging and above all FUN classes to engage your child in summer learning. Courses are available for children from 4K thru 12th grade and included enrichment, remedial, music, strength and conditioning, and swim lessons. We are looking forward to the summer of 2024. Your performances were absolutely delightful and had us tapping our feet throughout the show. You truly brought the magic of music to life and we can’t wait to see what you all do next. Keep shining and congratulations on a job well done! Orchestra Students Visit San Diego What a wonderful experience and trip for our #WaunakeeWAY orchestra students to San Diego! Preserving Waunakee History It was a very special evening at Heritage Elementary School. We welcomed community members who have a long history within the walls of our schools. They’ve touched thousands of students in Waunakee, and reached far more families that we can account for. This group came together to help in the planning stages of preserving history, artifacts, and items from the Heritage Elementary School and how this can be incorporated into the new buildings of Heritage and the Middle School. Waunakee 4K Program Our 4K program has a history of excellent programs for students, and we continue this tradition by offering an enriching experience for our youngest learners through Waunakee 4K. The Waunakee Community School District works collaboratively with local child care providers and preschools to offer 4K. We have been working hard to create a positive, enriching 4K program for children, and to provide many family outreach opportunities for families. #WaunakeeWAY Staff We are thankful for our #WaunakeeWAY staff! Census 2023 - We want to hear from you! Communications Sep 27 2023 If you are a Waunakee Community School District resident and have children (birth through 18 years of age ) not currently enrolled in our district, we would like to hear from you. The census is different from registration. Do not include currently enrolled WCSD students. The benefit to you is that if you fill out the census, you are in our system and we are able to contact you with information appropriate for the age of your child(ren). It helps us plan our future enrollment in our district. It also allows us to provide you with information appropriate for your child.
